My hair tangles very easily, but this little massage beetle doesn't tangle it. It works great on the scalp as well as the base of the head, along the neck, and anywhere else you need a little bit of kneading. The massagers are just a little prickly for comfortable use on the face, but I have used it on persistent knots on my forehead and it does help. It's a little pricey for my tastes (I'm cheap), but it has helped enough that I consider it a bargain buy.Note on durability: Someone stuck their finger in between the little massagers (don't ask me why) and it stopped, perhaps as a safety feature? They put it back in the charger and told me about it later, but it was working fine when I picked it up, and has had no issues since.
